Losing My Grip

The first piece in my Gesture series. I often use my hands when expressing myself. These pieces incorporate illustrations of hands in order to express simple concepts, in this case, insanity. The title of this piece is a play on words. Not only is the hand losing its grasp on the substance that slips through its fingers, but it is symbolizes the concept that as we hold onto reality, it sometimes slips through our fingers and turns into utter chaos, becoming something that we can not hope to control.
