Artist's Comments

Done as a commision for a close friend, the piece brings together two popular images in American culture, a wolf and the Yin Yang symbol.

The title is Chinese. Concisely it means "Night Wolf", though the definition of yin means much more than simply night. It also incorporates the dark feminine portion of the ancient symbol.

As I told you at the festival... I love this drawing so very much.. I mean the style is just overly amazing and your texture is so stunning. I love how real it seems and how the eyes just gaze into you and seem like they are peircing through your soul.

Also I am glad to have met you at the Renaisance Festival.. You are so awesome. :aww:

I really love this and I would like you to give me permission to make this into a tattoo? I will have to simplify it somewhat and want to add kanji below the picture :-)

I hope you give permission and if you agree, when it is done I can photograph it and send it to you if you want!

For a tattoo, there are a few things I ask. First, you can't leave the image with the tattoo artist, if he wants it for flash, he needs to contact me and pay for it. Second, I ask that you visit my website, [link], and purchase a copy of the print, even the smallest version is fine. This is so I receive even a small amount of compensation for the use of my artwork.

Also, if you check out this site, [link] you'll see that I have the chinese characters for the words Yin and Lang.

I hope you understand as I am an artist who lives off of his work (this is my full time job).

Thanks.
